Best AI SEO Agencies in the UK (2026)

Sixteen agencies grouped by how they work, chosen from what the AI engines themselves name for UK buyer questions, with every fact checked on each agency's own site.

The best AI SEO agency in the UK for a B2B software company is the one that can show you, before you sign, which buyer questions it will measure, which engines it will run them on, and what the baseline says today. This guide compares sixteen UK agencies on that basis, grouped by how they work.

Which UK AI SEO Agencies Are Worth Comparing?

Sixteen UK agencies are worth comparing in October 2026: Ranking Atlas, the AI search specialists Rank4AI, Tilio, MarGen and FirstMotion, the B2B SaaS agency Team 4, and ten full-service search agencies with an AI search service: Found, The SEO Works, ClickSlice, Passion Digital, Impression, Exposure Ninja, Varn, Hallam, Go Up and Omnius.

Not ranked. Sources: each agency's own website, checked 6 October 2026. The Ranking Atlas row is the publisher's own entry and its last column is opinion.

The working-model column matters more than the name column. A specialist does one thing; a full-service agency adds AI search to SEO, paid and content it already runs. Pick the model that fits your gap, then compare agencies within it.

Where Do AI Engines Get Their UK Agency Recommendations?

Mostly from "best agencies" lists, and mostly from outside the UK. Ranking Atlas put eight UK buyer questions to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity twice each from a UK location on 6 October 2026. Of the 48 answers, 39 cited at least one list, and only 138 of the 413 citations (33%) pointed at a .uk domain. Our analysis of 745 listicle citations found that offsite corroboration appears to be what makes the engines name a list's own publisher.

Answers citing a best-agencies list: Perplexity 16 of 16, Gemini 15 of 16, ChatGPT 8 of 16.

Source: Same sample. Pages classified by URL pattern; the agency-and-other row includes agencies' own service pages, guides and news.

Two things follow for a UK buyer. The lists that shape the engines' answers are written by agencies and directories, many of them outside the UK. An agency's presence on them is a result of its own marketing, not a measure of its work. And the sources are mostly not British: 45 of the 157 cited domains were .uk.

How Were These Agencies Chosen and Checked?

By a rule. An agency is in this guide if the engines named it in at least four of the 48 answers, by at least two engines, and its own site states a UK base and an AI search, GEO or AEO service. Every description was checked on the agency's own pages on 6 October 2026.

Agencies the engines named that are not here, and why: Blue Array, Builtvisible and MADX, because we could not verify a UK base and an AI search service from their sites in this check; BhavPro, NeuralGen, Scalux and Gripped, because only one engine named them; Omniscient Digital, because it does not state a UK base.

Which UK Agencies Work on AI Search as Their Core Service?

Four UK agencies describe AI search, GEO or AEO as the service itself rather than an add-on to SEO: Rank4AI in Colchester, Tilio in Exeter, MarGen in Sheffield and FirstMotion. Each states on its own site that it works on how AI engines name and cite a brand, and each names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers.

Rank4AI

Team 4 works, by its own account, exclusively with B2B SaaS companies, and says its GEO services were built for SaaS companies in narrow, technical categories rather than adapted from a generic SEO playbook.

Suited to: brands adding GEO to SEO and content they already run.

Impression

Impression is a performance marketing agency with offices in Nottingham, London and Manchester and a GEO service. They define GEO as "the practice of optimising on- and off-site for better visibility in the responses of generative AI models like Google’s Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity".

Does a UK Base Matter, or a UK Prompt Set?

The prompt set. An agency anywhere can measure the UK market if it writes UK buyer questions, tracks UK competitors and runs the prompts from a UK location. In our sample, the same question asked from the UK still drew two-thirds of its citations from non-UK domains, so the sources that decide a UK answer are not only British ones.

A UK prompt set needs three things a US one lacks:

  • UK phrasing. The words and spellings your buyers type.
  • UK competitors. The vendors a British buyer weighs you against.
  • UK context. Local regulation, and prices in pounds.

Ask each agency whether it builds a separate UK prompt set or reuses a US one, and from where it runs the prompts.

How Do You Choose an AI SEO Agency in the UK?

Choose by gap, then by proof. Decide whether you need a specialist, a SaaS-focused agency or AI search inside a full-service relationship, then ask each candidate for its prompt set, engines, baseline date and a sample report. The agency that can answer before you sign is the one that can measure after.

  1. Name the gap

Run your own prompts to see which competitors already appear in AI answers for your category. If competitors are named and you are not, the gap is non-branded visibility.

  2. Pick the model

Specialist, SaaS-focused or full-service. The model decides what the agency can deliver.

  3. Ask for the measurement

Prompt set, engines, baseline date and a sample report, with branded and non-branded visibility kept separate.

  4. Check the sources

Ask which UK and non-UK publications the agency has earned coverage in, and whether any placement is paid.

  5. Agree the terms

Minimum term, what is included, what is scoped separately, and how results are reported.

For a wider field, including US agencies and the data on where engines get agency recommendations, see our guide to AI SEO agencies for B2B software companies. For what the measurement should look like, see how to measure brand visibility in AI search.

FAQ

Which UK agencies help with both SEO and AI search visibility?

Most of the full-service agencies in this guide do: The SEO Works describes an integrated SEO and AI search strategy, and Found, ClickSlice, Passion Digital, Impression, Exposure Ninja, Varn, Hallam, Go Up and Omnius each run an AI search or GEO service alongside SEO. Ranking Atlas, Rank4AI, Tilio, MarGen and FirstMotion work on AI search as the core service.

Is a GEO agency or an AEO agency different from an AI SEO agency?

Not in practice. Generative engine optimisation (GEO), answer engine optimisation (AEO) and AI SEO describe the same outcome: a brand named and cited in AI answers. UK agencies pick the label that suits their positioning, and several on this page use two or three of them. Compare what each one delivers and measures, not the acronym.

Does a UK agency matter if my buyers are in the UK?

The location of the office matters less than whether the agency measures the UK market: a UK prompt set, UK competitors and runs made from a UK location. In our 6 October 2026 sample, two-thirds of the sources the engines cited for UK agency questions sat on non-UK domains, so the work reaches well beyond British publications.

How much does an AI SEO agency cost in the UK?

This guide does not publish third-party prices, because they change and most are quoted per engagement. Ask each agency for the prompt set, the engines, the baseline date and a sample report before the price, and compare on those.

How were the agencies on this list chosen?

Ranking Atlas asked ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity eight UK buyer questions twice each from a UK location on 6 October 2026, and listed every agency named in at least four of the 48 answers by at least two engines, where a UK base and an AI search service could be verified on the agency's own site.
